Einband is 100% Icelandic Virgin Wool from ISTEX, the Icelandic state yarn mill. A single-ply yarn in lace weight, tightly spun from the soft undercoat of Icelandic sheep – one of the purest native breeds in the world, living in Iceland for over a thousand years. The unique two-layer structure of the wool (outer Toga fiber and inner Þel fiber) makes Einband warm and light at the same time, with a distinctive rustic texture that develops sheen and softness after washing.

With 250 m per 50 g, Einband is suitable for airy scarves, fine shawls, elegant knitted cardigans, and lace projects with a Nordic soul. Worked solo or together with a thicker Lopi yarn like Léttlopi for color accents and extra stability. 23 colors in the Icelandic color palette – from natural white and black to shades of lava, moss, and sea.
