Lopi at BONIFAKTUR
Lopi comes from ISTEX, the Icelandic state yarn mill, and is spun from 100% Icelandic sheep wool. The two-layer fiber – water-repellent on the outside, insulating on the inside – makes Lopi a classic for Lopapeysa sweaters and Nordic color patterns.
At BONIFAKTUR we carry Léttlopi (Aran, 200m/100g, 100% Icelandic wool) – the most used yarn for Lopapeysa sweaters, available in 45 colors from natural tones to bright accents. Also Einband (Lace, 1000m/100g, 100% Icelandic wool) for finer projects and shawls. Both yarns are not superwash – Hand Wash recommended.
