Felted Tweed is Rowan’s iconic yarn and one of the best-known names in premium knitting. The blend of 50% Merino Wool, 25% Alpaca, and 25% Viscose is lightly felted – creating the characteristic Tweed finish with colorful flecks that give the yarn natural depth. The Merino provides structure, the Alpaca softness, and the Viscose a fine, silky sheen. Not superwash – the yarn requires gentle care but rewards with a Stitch Definition that becomes more beautiful over time.

Fair Isle, Aran cables, colorwork, or simple stockinette projects – Felted Tweed doesn’t need elaborate patterns to impress. The Tweed texture makes even simple stitches interesting. With 175 m per 50 g and 71 colors – from moss green to mist gray, from heather blue to rust red – the color selection is almost a challenge in itself.
